Flood Cut

Did you know that the storm surge and flooding from a hurricane can cause the most damage to properties? When your home or business is damaged by rising water, the drywall and other building materials affected by that contaminated floodwater need to be removed. It's common practice to remove all the drywall and insulation that is wet, usually two foot up from the floor. When you hear a company or your insurance adjuster, recommending a two-foot flood cut - this is what they are referring to. Of course, if the floodwater was higher, anything contaminated needs to be removed. Our technicians are trained and have the equipment to know what materials need to be removed, and then what it will take to dry the wood framing exposed by those cuts. We are at the peak of hurricane season, so your friends at SERVPRO of Corpus Christi East are always here to help.
